Dying and Death in 18th-21st Century Europe – Fifth Edition

ABDD05 2012 – The main aim of this conference is to bring together historians, sociologists, psychologists, and physicians from all over the Europe and to attract original papers on the following topics:

Cultural history of death (history, art, philosophy, music, sociology);

New ritualisations of death in the 21st century;

Bereavement in modern and post-modern society;

End of life and palliative care;

Suicide, euthanasia and the law; Definitions of death in terms of biomedicine;
